"Thank you for Lotte's suggestion"...WS winner with Goodrum, didn't think about going to Korea

"I felt that Lotte saw me as a good player. I didn't think much about it when I decided to go to Korea."

The Lotte Giants made a big decision in the process of preparing for the 2025 season. They gave up their contract with Aaron Wilkerson, a foreign pitcher who played the most innings in the entire KBO League last year.메이저사이트

Lotte's choice was left-hander Tucker Davidson, who was born in 1996. Davidson, who was born in 1996, is 188 centimeters tall and weighs 97 kilograms. He started his professional career by being drafted by the Atlanta Braves with the 559th overall pick in 19 rounds in the 2016 MLB Draft.

Davidson made his dream major league debut with Atlanta in the 2020 season. His overall record in the big leagues is four wins, 10 losses and 129 ⅔ innings with 5.76 100 strikeouts.

In the 2021 season, he played in the World Series against the Houston Astros as a member of Atlanta. Atlanta won the series with four wins and two losses, making him a member of the World Series.

Davidson only pitched in the Baltimore Orioles last year, allowing one game, four ⅔, and winning and losing in one game. He spent most of his time in the Minor League. While playing 32 games (17 starts) in Triple-A with five wins, 11 losses and 115 ⅔ innings with an earned run average of 3.89 104 strikeouts, he will wear the Lotte Giants uniform in the 2025 season.

Davison joined Lotte's Taiwan spring camp since the 25th and has been improving his condition smoothly. Thanks to the consideration of his teammates and his active personality, he is quickly melting into the team's atmosphere.

"I can feel that Lotte is a really good team. It's only been a few days since I joined the team, but thank you for welcoming me so much," Davison said. "I also finished pitching well in my first bullpen session. I'm looking forward to this season because I feel great personally."

Davison said he did not think much about the contract process with Lotte. He explained that he chose to leave the U.S. and go to Korea without difficulty because Lotte highly evaluated his skills.

"I was so grateful to Lotte for seeing me as a good player. There was not a special background when I decided to go to Korea," Davison said. "Lotte picked me to win, and now I'm going to do my best to win the team."

After completing his contract with Lotte, Davison told his teammate Nico Goodrum, who played for Triple-A under Baltimore last year, about Lotte and the KBO League's characteristics.

Goodrum was hired by Lotte as an alternative foreign hitter during the 2023 season, but his performance was not good enough. He left a batting average of 0.295 (51 hits in 173 times at bat) in 50 games and a 28-run OPS of 0.760, before returning to the U.S. after failing to renew his contract.

"As soon as I received Lotte's offer, I completed the contract as quickly as possible. I didn't have much time to hear about Korea from Goodrum," Davidson said. "I heard from Goodrum about Lotte's team atmosphere, KBO's unique cheering culture, the enthusiasm of Sajik Baseball Stadium, and the enthusiasm of fans."

"If I introduce myself to my strengths, I can play various ball games including sliders, sweeper, and curveball. I am confident in my fastball pitching," he said. "I enjoyed watching Lotte's front office as it sent me a lot of videos related to the KBO League and Lotte in advance. Expectations are high for the Busan and Sajik Baseball Stadium."
